Lorna and I feel very lucky to have had you as our guide to these remarkable islands. Our choice of tours and dates was dictated by other considerations, but, clearly, we stumbled into all kinds of good luck from lack of rain, seeing the saddleback tortoise, seeing the flamingos and so many other things that we might have missed, but mostly we feel grateful to have had you as our guide.  While other guides speak from what they learned in guide school, you spoke from the greater depth of decades of research experience in Galapagos, bringing a whole new dimension of knowledge to our trip.  We are grateful for the value you brought to our trip and our lives; it is beyond price. Bill and Lorna Moore, January 2016

Greg was unbelievably fantastic in every way. We have learned so much from our time with him. We are sure that he “made” this trip with all the knowledge and information about these wonderful islands he gladly shared. Again he and the crew will be forever remembered. Andrea Simpson, February 2015

Thank you for an incredible week in the Galapagos. We cannot imagine a better guide to travel with in these islands. The depth of your knowledge and obvious affection for this place truly made it a spectacular holiday for all of us. Thanks for accommodating our many “special needs”, for patiently explaining things, and for kindly answering our endless questions. Despite the fact that there are no guarantees in the Galapagos, we saw so many amazing things this week. We know that’s due in large part to your thorough planning and execution of the week. We have had an excellent adventure! The Clendenin/Weber Family, July 2014

I wanted to you let you know how much we enjoyed having you as our guide. Your knowledge, leadership, patience, humor and efficiency were terrific and truly made this trip a “trip of a lifetime”. As we and others stated to you that you “set the bar very high” for any/all other guided trips in our future. I will highly recommend you and the crew of the Renia Silvia when I tell the story of this trip to family, friends, and colleagues. It is my honor to have gotten to know you on this trip. Thank you for a
most memorable time.
Chris Straub, April 2012

Thanks for your extraordinary guidance that helped us so much to enjoy a lifetime experience!!! Manuel Monzon, August 2010

It is one great big thank you for an incredible trip!  I knew it was going to be pretty spectacular, but it far exceeded my expectations!  The entire “voyage” was so well organized and we couldn’t have had a better guide. Greg’s knowledge and stories were so appreciated.  I really felt we walked in Darwin’s footsteps and I finally got to see so many organisms that I have only seen pictures of….not to mention an active volcano….tres cool! –Shona Ellis, May 2009

I wanted to write a quick thank you to both you, Thalia, (as coordinator) and Greg (as guide) for our Galapagos trip. The itinerary was fantastic. I felt like we saw all the wildlife we could have hoped for, and then some. Everything ran smoothly, and the whole trip was a real pleasure. -Erin Barley, May 2009

It was a fantastic trip thanks in large part to your (Thalia’s) organization and Greg’s amazing guiding… So again, many thanks to you and Greg for helping to make this the trip of a lifetime for me. -Carol Pollock, May 2009

I’d like to thank you for arranging the trip to the Galapagos for us. It was a wonderful time to visit, with all three species of boobies and the waved albatross mating; young sea lions playing about us as we snorkelled; the volcano on Fernandina erupting; and just so much to see! Greg is an excellent guide. He is so knowledgeable about the natural history of the islands and the science behind it; his enthusiasm and energy are boundless; and he is an excellent communicator. I cannot imagine a better guide or a better trip, and I know that I speak for all sixteen of us. -Joan Sharp, May 2009

A perfect voyage – the crew, the boat, the food, the fish, the sharks, the seals and best of all, the kids had a memorable time – their minds, hearts and bodies grew. Thank you so much. We look forward to returning! RICHARD GERE, April 2009

I don’t know the words to thank you for making this trip so special for us all, both kids and adults.  We talked about it over and over.  And we all felt we had made such a great new friend….something certainly unexpected.  Lots of laughter also, I’d say!  It all just jelled perfectly.  And that snorkelling…WOW! -Susanne and Jimmer Lowell, RICHARD GERE trip. April 2009

We certainly had a fantastic trip. Greg was awesome as usual and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves and learned a lot. -Terry Naumann, January 2009

My wife Anne, son Ted, and I were part of the Wyoming contingent on the tour you led in early January 09.  Ted, who has been all over the world, called the tour “the best ever”, and I’d have to agree.  Thanks again for a great trip. – John Huss, January 2009

Thanks again for the amazing and educational trip. My husband Lee and I had a blast, and will have those memories for the rest of our lives! -Jamie Engelking, January 2009

Greg Estes has been by far and away the best guide I’ve ever had. He has a great ability to impart his knowledge of the Galapagos, but also to regale us with interesting and entertaining anecdotal stories that enhance the experience. He has a knack for making everybody on the trip feel as if he were the most important person on the trip. I hope to return to the Galapagos on a future trip with more of my family. I would only do so if Greg Estes is the trip guide. -John Shively & Blythe Hartsook, January 2008

We had such a fabulous time and keep playing the snorkel DVD you made over and over – what great memories!!  Thank you so much for making our trip extra-special!!  Your knowledge and expertise is phenomenal! -Nani Golden, September 2008

I just wanted to send out a quick note to say thanks for the incredible trip – I thought it would be impossible to equal the 2003 trip with you, but we definitely matched or exceeded it.  Thanks a million to you and Greg for putting together another great trip. –Ryan Holliday, May 2006

I just wanted to say a big thank you for the trip to the Galapagos. We all had an absolutely wonderful time and we thought Greg was a brilliant guide.  It could not have been better!!!  We are very lucky that our collective first visit to the Galapagos was such a fantastic experience. -Sir John Krebs FRS, Oxford University, April 2006

I just wanted to thank you again for an incredible trip to the Galapagos. The whole experience was wonderful, and you were a big part of it.  To me, the greatest characteristic a person can have is to be passionate about the things that interest them.  It’s obvious that you love what you do and it really comes across in the way you guided us. -Geoff, January 2004

It was an amazing trip and we thank you for adding to it in terms of your expertise, passion and personality. –Joanne Ficker March 2003

Thank you both for an incredible Galapagos experience! -Karl Wirth, February 2003

Thanks again for your efforts on our behalf.  You made it look easy but I’m sure that shepherding a load of slowish tourists around the islands and fielding with enthusiasm for the nine hundredth time questions on booby feet colors is wearing.  What was particularly impressive was the fine balance between your clear familiarity with the up-to-the minute science on what we were observing with your particular enthusiasm for Darwin and the history of how the science got done. -Scott Mathews, January 2003

I just wanted to thank you again and tell you how very much we appreciated your intelligence and education. We feel very fortunate to have had a leader who was truly well educated in natural history. -Caroline Halliday, December 2002

Thank you again ever so much for such a great trip ‘following Darwin’s footsteps’.-Tim Kittle, December, 2002

Thank you for all your work and efforts on our part! You are a wonderful leader and inspired my trust!  Easily! Most fun: being with you as the guide on the zodiacs. Always got to see more, and go more and further than others. Your talks were the Best! I loved your passion for Darwin. Never got a handle on him before. You made him wonderfully personal and deeply interesting. Your book will be a treat. -Loraine, November, 2002

I just wanted to thank you for helping make our trip in July a great one.  We enjoyed it very much, and your additions to the tour made it better than it would have been without them.  We liked having the evening reviews and talks, and really appreciated the discussions with the researchers on boobies and hawks.  Your connections in the islands helped make it a great trip.  Your additional comments and information made the hikes and snorkels more interesting. -CR Shult, September, 2002
